Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your information — written in plain English.

01What we collect

We collect only what we need to run our events and communicate with the families, coaches, and partners who take part in them. That falls into two buckets: information you give us directly, and technical information collected automatically.

Information you provide includes: your name and email when you submit our contact form or newsletter signup, and any additional details you include in the subject/message. If you register a team for a DUNKHAUS event, registration is handled by our third-party registration partner listed on the event page — see section 4.

Information collected automatically includes: basic device and browser information, pages visited on dunkhaus-events.com, and approximate location (derived from IP). We do not use advertising cookies.

02How we use it

We use your information to:

  • Respond to inquiries you send through the contact form.
  • Send you event announcements, registration windows, and results — but only if you opted into the newsletter.
  • Operate and improve dunkhaus-events.com (analytics, uptime, security).
  • Coordinate with venue partners, officials, and co-hosts to run events.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

03Youth participants

DUNKHAUS events are designed for youth athletes. Team and player registration for events is completed by a parent, guardian, or club-designated adult through our third-party registration partner. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13 through this website. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact support@dunkhaus-events.com and we will remove it.

04Third parties we work with

To run this site and our events we share limited information with the following processors:

  • Third-party registration partners — team and roster registration for DUNKHAUS tournaments. When you click a REGISTER button, you are sent to the registration partner listed on that event page and your data on that platform is governed by their privacy policy.
  • Cloudinary — image hosting for event flyers, team logos, and photo galleries.
  • MongoDB Atlas — our secure database provider.
  • Email delivery providers used for newsletter and contact form replies.

These processors are contractually restricted to using your information only to provide their service to us.

05Your choices

You can unsubscribe from any DUNKHAUS newsletter at any time using the link at the bottom of the email.

You can request a copy or deletion of the information we hold about you by emailing support@dunkhaus-events.com. We will respond within 30 days.

06Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest for the databases that hold your information. No system is perfectly secure — but we do not store payment card information on our servers, and we minimise the data we keep.

07Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as we add features or partners. When we do, the effective date at the top of this page will change and material updates will be announced on the site.
